What is Vicrypt?
Vicrypt seems to be a malware and it has been out since around May 2008.
What Vicrypt does?
Vicrypt damages lots of files on the user's computer, rendering them unreadable and changes the the file's extension to ".viCrypt" making the files more unreadable thus crashing programs and applications utilizing the damaged files. Emails are also affected with vicrypt. Most of the time Vicrypt starts by displaying a message "Vicrypt Error".
What are the sources of Vicrypt?
Vicrypt comes mainly from porn websites, warez downloads, cracked softwares, keygens, hacking websites, emails, etc. Vicrypt also comes from Adwares and spywares.
What are the solutions for Vicrypt?
There are some solutions which exist for the vicrypt problem. They are as follows:
Vicrypt Solution 1:
First and foremost solution for the vicrypt problem is to stay away from warez, keygens, untrusted pron sites, serial crackers and hackers.
Vicrypt Solution 2:
Use file recovery softwares. File recovery applications can try recover your damaged files but they are not so efficient. Sometimes you can land in deep trouble since your files may be lost forever with the file recoveries. File recoveries can be obtained at CNET download or softpedia.
Vicrypt Solution 3:
Use Antivicrypt. This is the best tool for the vicrypt problem. It has been released recently by Exquisys Software Technology LTD (www.exquisysltd.com) when they got attacked by the Vicrypt malware themselves through email which caused a mass damage to them. So they developed the Antivicrypt solution for themselves to repair their damaged files and with the help of other afftected people, the solution is now available to all of us with a minimum fee. Antivicrypt can be freely downloaded here: http://www.exquisysltd.com/download.php?p=DA02EX
Antivicrypt info can be found at the corporate website: http://www.exquisysltd.com/productinfo.php?p=DA02EX
Antivicrypt is best suited for the vicrypt problem and repairs all files very smoothly and fast.
Antivicrypt is offered as a shareware and allows unlicensed users to repair a maximum of 7 files. So put all your important files in a seperate folder and repair them by selecting the folder containing your important files. You can thus recover 7 of your important files. Beware, Antivicrypt will not be able to repair your files damaged by vicrypt if the ".viCrypt" extension has been changed or is missing or if you tried manipulating the damaged file using some editors.
Vicrypt Solution 4:
Another solution for viCrypt is out. Links are:
vicrypt_decryptor.zip: http://www.MegaShare.com/1490783
vicrypt_decryptor.exe: http://www.MegaShare.com/1490785
These have been developed by Raja Jee and email contact for raja jee is raja_king_jee@yahoo.com
Important: This vicrypt_decryptor does not work well on all systems and can sometimes cause windows crash. So be careful.
Vicrypt Solution 5:
Unvicrypt is out. This product costs a HUGE USD 75.00. It works on some vicrypt files, but NOT all of them. In about 50 files destroyed by Vicrypt, only one or two files with "viCrypt" extension may be restored using Unvicrypt. Also it's very slow and everytime you have to enter the filenames, 5 at a time, one by one. So beware before spending USD 75.00 on Unvicrypt.
Trial Unvicrypt allows you to repair only 5 files maximum.
